Physical interruption of loops


The Technique

When you notice you’re caught in a loop β€” scrolling, reacting, ruminating β€” physically stop.

  1. Stand up (if sitting) or sit down (if standing)
  2. Change location β€” Move to a different room
  3. Look away β€” Break visual contact with the screen
  4. One breath β€” Take a single deep breath

That’s it. The loop is broken.


Why It Works

Loops are maintained by continuity. Physical interruption breaks the pattern. The body leads; the mind follows.
